I also dont prime mine that many times, (unless its real cold) but that shouldn`t make that much of a difference if any at all.

the cheap way to have a fast start up might be to have a button that you hold down that tricks the oil pressure sender... then when it fires up you let it go and the ECU sees the right pressure.
i was told that the 07's look for pressure before sending spark or fuel.. not too sure what one.

IMHO i would deal with a slow start before "tricking" a sensor. If the button shorts out the sensor you wouldnt know if you may or may not have a problem until its too late.
As long as it starts the way it is, may as well leave it....slow start is better than no start

Cripes that is long! You primed it one to many times and I bet that gas is junk in there. If not I do believe you have a issue. That is not normal even for a 07 without the update.Mine fired way quicker than that even after sitting all summer.
I think we need to tabulate some cranking pressures.I need to see my stock plugs anyway this year!

My 07 cranks way faster and starts way quicker. After sitting for 6 months it started faster than that with no prime.

After sitting essentially empty since February, I put in fresh fuel in our '08. It cranked slightly slower (had been on tender) but started after about 9-10 revolutions. Yours took about 25...

Wow, mine turns over slightly slower but usually fires by the 4-5 "thump", even at -20*f

Mine cranks a bit slower than the video and takes longer to start.

Okay just started mine this morning.
IMO this should not crank this long. Plenty of RPM, why don't they just bloody fire!!
And keep in mind this was considerably worse with the stock battery when I had it...

Does the prime trick work? i did it but its hard to say if it started in 10 cranks or 15 with out it.. i will have to do some tests..
but if you instal the updated ECU it's night and day (my buddy just did it 250$)
that vid i posted is not my phazer by the way, mine cranks a little faster than yours MikeWalters.. but its indoors (not heated but attached to the house)

Mike, been a while but my phazer cranks about the same speed as yours but fires right up on the 3 or 4th time when cold (about -10c) and about 5 or 6 times when about -20c. I only cycle the pump once.
