Just got back from my first ride of the year, also it was my first ride with my new pilot skis.. I hated my sled last year always darting, pushing through the turns just an awful handling sled.. It reminding me of an old school muscle car... Fast as hell in a straight line but turning is out. I am so excited about thise new skis I cant wait to ride again. I have been reading the endless commements on what skis are best.. If the make a better set up for a nytro I would be shocked... These skis make me look like I might be accutally be able to ride.. :yam: :jump: :jump: :jump:

can someone post pics of the install?

i will be adding skis soon and would like to know what i need for the install

you guys adding 5.7 s or 6.9s? what the width of each??

Thanks

thanks grizztracks

I see your revalved by pioneer aswell, care to share how you'v got her setup?

I've made no suspension adjustments yet so I'm running the same setup with the Arrows as I did with the Pilots. I installed a set of 4" Bottom Line wear bars on the Arrows but also have Stud Boy shaper bars to try later. I don't have a lot of time on the Arrows yet but there doesn't seem to be much difference in steering effort between the the two. I would say that both have relatively moderate steering effort.

I'm running an 08 RTX with the old geometry which may make these skis handle totally different than the newer sleds.

6.9 Pilots worked great for me. I just installed the Berstom tripple point carbides. They work great. Maybe a little more steering effort. The sled has very little darting. Corners and tracks great.

Your 100% right, i LOVE my pilots. I have 5.7's but when they wear out, I will be replacing them with 6.9's.

That is funny cardguy.....what is the width of each? Um, well, the 5.7's are 5.7" wide and the 6.9's are 6.9" wide.

I installed those new Yamaha wide skis a few weeks ago. It almost makes me sick to think I rode that POS for 4000km with the stock skis.

It handles unreal and steers very light.
