Hello , I am new too riding and just installed a mirror on the break side of the sled and was wondering if that will do or should I install the other one ?

Millsy, I have run them both ways. I find myself always using the mirrors. I find that two mirrors catches more of the "blind" spots. Sometimes your riding buddies will get into that area thats hard to pick up with just one mirror. I also find I can see and count a larger group of riders coming from behind with two mirrors. Of course if you happen to break one on a trip (of course this never happened to me) you have the other to make do in the mean time.

Thank you. That makes sense. I only installed the one so far

Something else worth looking at are Bug Eye's mirrors, they mount on your helmet and work very well, I gave them a try last season and have one mounted on my Helmet, they work rather well, I found the handle bar mounted mirrors you were always adjusting them, the bug eye's mirrors are not a cheap knock off plastic gimmick, they are quality made with real mirrors and gives a good clear rear view of what's behind you.

I use the one on the left 90% of the time.
Legally, i think you only need one.
But you'll need both sides to balance the sled.
Have you ever seen the Flintstones when Dino puts the dinosaur ribs on Fred's car...................then it tips over. This could be you!

P.S: I hate riding behind people without mirrors. On big trails they tend to ride the middle & don't realize i NEED to pass them. Pisses me off!

Thanks for all your advice. I decided to install the other one since I already had it and we have no snow to go and I am kinda bored.

Mirrors not a requirement in Michigan, wish it was for obvious reason you stated. I started with handguard ones, they sucked so bought some ATV ones from Amazon.
