I am thinking about installing low snow wheels on my 07 Phazer FX.

I've looked at the set that HYGEAR sells and it looks like you need to purchase two sets at $75.00 per set.

Fix Power sports has low snow wheels for $100.

The Fix Power Sports wheels have an axle that runs from rail to rail, which looks like a better setup.

What do you folks think. Which would be a better setup?

I used them on both of my phazers and my sons Nytro. I mounted them at the bend in the rails where the heaviest wear happens right away.

I'd be a bit leery about installing such small idler wheels. They tend to heat up too quickly and disintegrate and fail prematurely.

I would look at replacing the existing idlers with slightly larger diameter ones.

I assume that you are looking to slow down slider wear. Perhaps install some ice scratchers.

Mine helped at the bend. But like grim said best thing would be to do like Apex guys and put bigger wheels on.Our slides do dramatically slow wearing but at the point the wear is slowed there is very little left.

I have to do my sons Phazer also, I will be using Yamahas kit's (were about $70 for one pair) as i have run on my Apex's for thousand's of mile's with out failure, Use a needle greaser every 5 to 600mi and just give them a small amount of grease and they last a long time. I start with one pair at the front curve and if needed put another pair in the rear. They wear just about to the wear line and last forever from there on. kviper

do you have a link to the Yamaha Kit?
Not off hand but look in the accessory catalog or check with your dealer. They should have them in stock. kviper

Keep your eye on Ebay as well. I found the front low snow kit on there for $35 a few months ago.

I used IQ/PRO X 440 idlers( slightly bigger dia. than stock) at the bend on mine, along with ice scratchers, works great.

Yup, I put a set on the outside and one set on the inside.
