Hello to all,
I am in the process of adding many upgrades to my 03 RX1. I am considering a set of Simmons skis, the original version, not the Gen II skis. How have these skis worked out for those who put them on their RX1's? Thanks!!

I had a set on my 04 warrior. They did not dart at all but made steering more difficult. Not bad but noticeable. Great flotation.
If you load on a trailer be sure and use a 2X4 or you could damage your carbides BTDT!
Also, my skies wore out. The plastic in front of and around the carbides just wore away. The worn ski allowed the front of the carbide to stick out. The carbide grabbed a cross board on a bridge in VT. Cost me a set of A arms, bulk head, and spindle plus a good days work.
Going to give the Skidoo 5.9 a try

I am cosidering the curve xs skis--pricey but good reviews
search my name, i have reviewed alot of skis as well as many others on the same threads. read up and then ask some questions.
also, after reading the cans and cants, doos and donts, ask yourself what am I trying to improve and where will they be used the most.

I have a set on mine, I like them alot. I bought them used but they were the same price as C&A pro razors I had before them. With the C&A single carbide they did dart ever so slightly, with the simmons very very rare did I get any darting and it was so minut I didn't care. So far I like them, but if I get another set it will be the curve xs I just have to try everything!
I mainly ride groomed trails.

I had a set on my 04 Warrior and while it did turn harder at slower speeds it would track straight and be much more stable at much faster speeds. No darting when set up right.Great on groomed trails.
They did push in the corners and handle wierd in crusty snow.
Have to redo trailer ramps and watch width for a now wider stance as two sleds will be tight on the trailer.Raise one side so the skis of one sled are higher and overlap the other a bit.
If an older set shim the rear under the rubber to get the front of the ski up so they won't wear.
Newer ones may come with a different rubber I think.

The simmons skis require different alignment than standard single-keel skis -- set the alignment to perfectly parallel.
