The Mass Sate Police Dive Recovery Team made the save yesterday. It started about 9:30am and the sled was out by 1:00pm.
I have some good pic's and will come back later today when I have time to detail and compete the post.
Now I have to go to work.

otis sled recovery

Otis- Is the state going to charge this guy for pulling his sled out? Will he be fined for any type of pollution? Some places charge you by the day until you get the machine out. Poor bastard, I thought stuff like that only happened to me. Glad you got him out before he drowned. Too bad we had differing observations on your lake test. Jeez, you would think everyone would agree in 2 sled race who was in front! Sometimes, you just have to do it yourself so I'm going to try this on my sled using the timers. I have 192 chisels so I don't think spinning will be an issue. I believe the Spencer Snowbirds have a timing set up and maybe I can do this in the near future. Keep us posted and stay away from the open water

HI LONGSHOT........... I don't think they will fine him. They unstood that the ice was very thin in just that one spot. He was also very upfront with the law and they appreciate that. One guy recently got fined because he lost his sled while riding open water and knew the chances. Dummy!
I'm only 1-1/2 hour from Spencer as my best friends wife makes the trip every day. Easy drive! We're going to have a another get together this Sunday but not anywhere near as large as last Sunday. You're welcome to join us if you want.
I'm on my office computer so I'm under OTIS RX-1 (right now) vs OTIS RX .
We all need to keep in mind that some are in business here! They put food on the table and make house payments doing this stuff. I don't want this to get out of hand so it effects someone life negatively. I've been snowmobiling for 30 years and was also General Manager of a Ski-Doo, Arctic Cat, Polaris dealership. I'm sick of spending $$ on stuff that claims all this super performance and barely delivers anything more than head aches with Jetting, Pilot jets, air screws, and the rest of it to find it doesn't run any better than clutching. It all depends on how much time you'd rather spend wrenching vs riding. Dependability needs to be considered also. You can take it the 356HP Bender if that's what you want!
I feel confident the kits will improve performance to some level.
I'd be the first one to order the kit if and when they prove it works. To date I'm still not convinced the spec's have been drawn or proven.
Just because the sled make more noise and leads the driver to believe it's got to be going better, doesn't make it so! It's like putting on the after market exhaust or a silencer. They make noise buy that's it!
Bring your's and we can work on it to see if we can make it run.
If Spencer can confirm the set up of timing and a date I'll try and make YOUR place.

Pic's from the OTIS sled rescue

Here are the pic's from the sled rescue yesterday. Most of who you see are from The Mass State Police Dive Recovery Team. The sled was in about 15 feet of water. It was about 3/4 mile from the race area. The sled was a 01 Polaris 700 classic. It came out in remarkably good shape. We pulled the plugs, purge the water and sprayed lube into the cylinders. He took the sled to a local dealer to go through. It should ready to roll next week or sooner.
