Out having some fun racing the '06 Apex and '05 F7 today...

Agree with kviper.

As the trails turned to mush on Friday, the less powerful my Apex felt.
Friday morning, the thing felt like a rocket, and it really showed me traction is everything with this chassis.

On the same snow conditions, my buddy on an '05 Mach would stomp me something bad, whether on a roll or from a dead stop.
The best ever responsiveness that we all love about our motors kind of works against us in all but the best condidtions. Needles to say, I wouldn't trade mine for any two stroke.
As far a top end, or running down another sled, these things aren't very strong in that respect.

I think some of this is aerodynamics.
The stock low windshield blows more air on the rider and slows the sled down more than other rides I've had

My last sled was an 04 F7 and I have to say that it was touchy with fuel. It ran differently with different fuels. I found a non blended 89 octane ran best. I had many friends that did alot of things to make them faster and almost always they made them slower. Simple clutch kit and good gas always worked for me.I am ordering a FX Nytro and not looking back!

The apex is heavier.. so it will loose in deeper snow..

Is your belt worn?? you could loose alot of speed from a worn belt..
