My 05 f7 was stolen in Hurley a couple of weeks ago and I am seriously thinking of switching to Yamaha. I have been impressed with Yamahas fit and finish for years and love the looks and reviews of the attak and apex. Now for my question, for those of you who have been fortunate enough to ride the apex/attak how does tha acceleration and topend compare to a f7 or rev 800.

I have ridden them and beibg a Cat guy for many many years I don't think you are going to miss any speed or acceleration. The fit, finish and quality will blow you away.

Its been my experience that f7 is the most overrated underachiever on the market. I don't even want to GUESS at the speed difference. As for rev800, stock RX1 has about 5 mph top end on it with transfer set to bulldozer mode, probably about 10 with transfer set over maximum. Add to that another 8 hp, and you're in a different class.

gamer, Congratulations on your f7 getting stolen!!!

Good luck on your new Yamaha purchase!!!!

Welcome, You won't look back!!!

sorry to hear about ur stolen sled
thats never cool no matter what ya ride
anyway...no worries about a F7 or 800 with the 150 FI motor

I have both an 04 F7 EFI SP and an 05 REV 800 MXZ X. The F7 has got some excellent bottom and descent top end. The 800 powertech is an amazing motor. Incredible bottom end and power all the way through. The apex and attack I rode had amazing bottom end but I ran out of room before I could see the top end. Sorry about your sled being jacked. I am looking at an apex to replace the viper. I am not ready to get ready of the ditch bangers yet but I don't think I am going to be disapointed with the apex. Did anyone else feel that when you got on the apex you felt like you were getting on a big old bike with that gas tank. Just too cool.

If you compare the RX to the Apex. The Apex will out accelerate in all ranges and even outrun it on top end. So if you know the performance between the RX and other sleds, the Apex will outrun it hands down.

Guys, Now is the perfect time to have a sled stolen!!!

I wasn't trying to be a smart a$$ just its the best money he can get out of it & its the end of year too!!!

No way you can sell a sled & get what the insurance company will give you!

st98 the 04 was the slowest year for the F7.. 03 was a lot faster. Had problems but were quick. Dialed in it took a good sled to beat it even on top end. I had 5 F7s before I got the RX1 so I ,ve had experence with them. There were no RX1s that would run with it. I will only ride Apex,s nowBest sled on snow. GREAT EVERYTHING about them.

I'm thinking very seriously about an Attak. I had many Yammi's in the past, but my 02' Viper pushed me away. It was mainly the ride, " Big Bump Sled " as avertised lived up to that and more, even the little bumps felt like big ones. So in 04' I ordered a SDI Renegade X, it had a few fuel mapping issues, but never left me stranded, and the 16+mph was all good too. Just sold it, and now tossing between an Attak vs Crossfire. Feature for feature the Attak is miles ahead, ( but 90lbs of extra weight comes with it as part of the package.) I average, off trail riding 2000 miles per year, and another 1500 on groomed. What scares me is that extra weight going to be a nuceince in the POW? My Renegade with electric start came in at about 530 lbs . So if Yammi is truthful, the Attak should be about 45lbs heavier than my X-Gade. I've read nothing but good about the 06's, if the Attak has a bit more push....so be it. It has a longer track, and a little push is to be expected. I just don't want the thing to feel nose-heavy, because that is no fun off-trail. Any help comments will be appreciated.....................Thanks

As much as i love yammi, if your doing that much off-trail riding your probably better off with a crossfire
