been converting my 03 rx1 to a 136'' ,that has been go'n great and thought i should fire her up since i haven't done so since summer which is still here in nova scotia, but it's a no go. i must have taken out to much for the lawn mower . looks like gas line is dry to the carbs, i'm not sure what to do she's gased up, there was stablizer put in there when stored i'm not shure how to prime or even sure thats whwt i should do . can any body help ? thanks

Open the cover, remove the belt/clutch cover, towards the BACK, there is a rubber hose inside a spring connected into a steel tube part of the frame. Disconnect that hose from the frame, blow into it as hard as you can, plug it with your thumb, wait 30 seconds, keep holding, full choke no throttle, crank. Release the pressure when it starts.

Remove the spark plugs. Drip a bit of gas in the spark plug holes. Put the plugs back in, and fire it up. May have to do twice.

Len Todd's method will work, but that is a lot of time and effort in my opinion. What I do preseason and mid-season when I change jets for different elevations is remove the intake cover and get a small container with a bit of fuel in it. I then use a ¼" diameter by 8" long hose, dip it into the fuel and plug the opposite end like a straw. I put that into the carburetor body and release. Do that for each carburetor and start the machine. It usually takes 2-3 cycles of dip/release. By that time the float bowls are full and the machine stays running. Then put your intake cover back on. Hope this helps.

Any way that gets some gas in the cylinder works. I have also used a sprayer in the carbs. Either way, just don't use ether based starting fluid or over do it.

thanks , tried the plug removal way didn't work i also tried filling the gas lines on both sides of the pump still no go. the plugs seemed to have gas on them yet when i turn it over thete's no smell of flooding, i have spark and will have 20cm of snow in4 or 5 hr. got to get to get her going, thanks will try again

THAT'S IT, THAT'S IT, SHE IS UP AND RUNNING AND THE SNOW IS ON THE WAY , THANK YOU VERY MUCH HERES HOPEING EVERYONES PROBLEMS ARE THAT SIMPLE
