I think this question pertains mostly to those of you that have painted your side panels. I have trailered a lot to get to good snow as most of the members on this great site have to do also- it seems that my cover is rubbing some of the shiney "high" spots of my body panels and windshield and scuffing them. I really do take excellent care of my toys, but you wouldn't know it by looking at my no longer new APEX(1100mi, I know some of this is normal wear and tear)-notice the chip taken out of the decal in the 2nd pic. I wouldn't be able to stand having to worry about my side panels if I painted them, it seems without any protection they would be very easily scratched up given their location.
So, what is the best product to get to protect this stuff(Plastic film)and a good compound that ya'll use to remove these scuff marks? I have tried(by hand-not brave enough to take the buffer to it yet) 3-M's swirl mark remover and it isn't enough. Any help in keeping her lookin' perfect will be much appreciated!![Div20 ;)! ;)!](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/div20.gif)

Buy a covered trailer and pass who ever is in front of you on the trail!

Do you use an undercover? I would recommend one if by chance you don't. They help resist scratches by the main cover.

Buy a really soft blanket and put it on before your cover. I used to do this before we had a covered trailer. Works perfect.
3m makes a protective film...part number 06444.
It is 4" wide and has self adhesive.
If you go to a autobody supply store....they will have it. Hopefuly they will sell it by the foot.....we do....expensive though.
I like to put it on the sides of my tunnel...so that my boots do not wear the paint off.
