Hi,
I've adjusted the parking brake cable as much as it will go, yet it still seems to slip when trying to hold the sled on the trailer. It worked well for a couple of loads/unloads after last adjustment, then weakens again. Is there any onther way to adjust it or do I now change the pads? Thanks 06 rtx.

Take it off...Throw it away and use the brake lever. I pull the lever and stick a hex key in behind...holds better than the e-brake ever did.

Thanks, I'll try that. Darn near took my head off trying to load onto the trailer alone.

I tried the hand brake trick but the sled spent 9 hrs on a trailer on a Chocrane trip and by the time we got home there was no pressure left on the brake (the master must slowly bleed off)So I replaced the pads and all is well again. The only thing I did different is shim the parking brake assembly with a couple of stainless steel washers to bring the inner pad closer to the rotor. This now applies the brake at only 1/3 of the total travel of the parking brake lever!! Now there is less space to "TAKE UP" I get alot more pressure on the brake.

Sorry, I didn't mean for long term use. I only use the brake when I load on a tilt deck trailer or stop on a hill to take a leak. I'd use tie downs for trailering as opposed to the brake.

I thought the P-Brake was only meant for short term anyway and not for trailering. Anyone have anyexperiance with the Pioneer P-Brake eliminator kit?
