Was out for a ride today with my wife and daughter. Me on a 07 attak gt her on a FS Touring (Polaris), I know what your thinking but it was a dealer demo. We were crossing one of the lakes when we got passed buy a 07 renegade and a F7. I felt like taking after them to show them what Yamahas power is all about but choose to hang back with my wife and daughter. Get to the end of the lake and I see the guy on the renegade with one of his panels off so iwent over to see if he needs a hand. He is pissed, says he has only 1500 miles on the sled and has just blown his motor, says thats about all the milage there good for. All i can say is 1900 miles so far and not one problem. Sure glad i bought the Yammi!

i love my attak, but it stinks when another sled is down no matter what brand, not fun when things break

scottymac you forgot to mention our other buddy's 800 renegade that went poof last week. at 1300 miles i feel like my attack is just getting dialed in .

I don't like to see anybody broken down either, but I do like the attention my Apex gets when I have to tow the busted sleds back to town! I'm one of the few Yamahas in my area, and everybody seems to enjoy staring at this cool sounding sled tugging something broken into town! I think I have turned more than a few people into admirers.

I think those SDI motors are so close to the edge, with that fuel economy and low oil consumption to meet EPA standards,I think most of these SDIs will go down undr 3000 miles....after a few more yrs more and more DOO guys like myself will come over to the genesis motor....instead of blowing up they get faster at higher mileage....gotta love it..

no more "throw-away" sleds for me..

Dan

I agree, Yamaha motors are bullet proof.

The season isn't over yet. ;)!

well i love the genesis engin ebut i wont knock a two stroke i rode my 02 viper with no reverse AND no electirc start and it always started, at 90 degrees in the middle of the summer, or -30 in the winter, and usually within 3 pulls. that was sled an over achiever, but we all know the genesis motor is miles ahead of anything else out there
