Hey Guys,

I am shopping for a sled for my wife and was pretty much sold on getting her an 09 MXZ Renegade. However, I just found a heck of a deal on an 07 RTX. My question is how does the Apex steering effort compare to say the Nytro (what I have) or the Vector LTX? She drove my XTX for 20 miles and liked it. But I think a full day of riding will cause her arms to fall off.

Thanks!

I agree. But I am leery about getting he a trail cruiser that can be associated at all with the word "workout."

The more she likes it the larger my sled fund becomes. :-)

Yeah it's definitively firm. But if she likes the steering ok than I'll probably put an XTX skid on it.

I will do what ever I need to. I bought it tonight. Will pick up in a week or two. TIme to start researching!

My wife has been riding a RTX for 4 years now, we do on the avg. 120 miles a day. No complaints from her.

Tuner skis may help too. They are pretty cheap too. Im gambling the same as you , bought the wife an 06 GT, she is comn off a viper. She does good on my Nytro so she should be ok.

Toe out, Bergstrom triple points, 60psi in the front shocks. Just have to try different setting with the limitor strap, and life will be good for you.

I run pilot skis on mine. One of the easiest sleds to turn with those skis.

How did you manage to reduce the steering effort for your wife ?
I,m 65 years old, weight 175, and after a days riding, my arms are sore from riding my 07 RTX.
Can I put a heavier spring in the front skid shock ? If so, any recommendations on which spring to get ? I love the sled, my only complaint is the heavy steering.

Put some Snowtrackers on and the sled will feel like it has power steering.
