Phazer Air box mod

The clutch kit alone is to aggresive that with out the intake kit the clutch kit pulls the phazer down as there is not enough power being made. This is why we are offering it as a kit.

If you have a turbo and do not want the intake kit it would be close but you would need to fine tune .

Stock phazers will not be able to pull this clutch kit with out the air intake kit but you won't be disapointed.

Our new phazer intake and clutch kit will be available end of next week, we have finished testing this week both on the lake and on the trail. Kit is a combined kit consisting of air intake and clutch kit. The air intake kit alone will ramp up your rpms by 400 rpm so we developed the both the clutching and air intake to work togeather. You will see 3-5 MPH on top end, EXCELLENT BACK SHIFT, INCREASED THROTTLE RESPONSE, AND INCREASED PULL OUT OF THE HOLE. INCLUDES INTAKE KIT, HELIX, PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SPRINGS, RIVETS AND A FEW OTHER GOODIES TO BRING THESE KITS TOGEATHER.

COST $499 (THIS IS A PACKAGE DEAL)

I couldn't find it on your website...

Still can't find it...

Here's those super cheap dirt bike air vents. They're too small for only 2 to make too much difference. We'll see. I hacked the install, though. Lame.

I have dynoed sled with different mods. With airbox mod there is big benefit.

Have you dynoed any other mods? Seen any gains with an exhaust?

How big of a gain did you see with the flowrites?

Also anyone know where we can purchase flowrites?

Thanks,

-Steve

HI Steve,

We have run several aftermarket silencers (straight slip-on). Some one's are bad and some ones are better. Normally they drop your peak HP a bit but with other mods they will make good power. At the moment i can not go in details, but all i can say more air is better :)

Why would you want something that drops your horsepower? Maybe I am missing something...

I wrote IF you change only the silencer for straight type, you loose couple ponies but ofcourse you loose weight as well. BUT if you make other mods aswell you will have good results.

This is what I was afraid of when installing an untuned system. I am eager for a manufacture to come out with a complete system, tuned for the Phazer. :)

I am not afraid of the airbox mod though, as it would be hard to lose HP from getting mroe air :)

I rode today, totally forgot about the air box vents. I was stuck in knee high powder, when I noticed louder intake noise. Earlier I thought the motor was a little crisper than before, but didn't think much of it. On my way back, while paying attention, definitely could tell the intake was louder and the sled had better throttle response and a little more torque. Those things were like 8 bucks for 6 of them and I only used two. Maybe the cheapest, easiest tweak.

Sharky, I'm definitely leanin' towards that excell. You could probably sell a bunch of those if you could post some video. The reason I was lookin for a system with a header is people are breakin the stock ti units. I don't think there are any aftermarket headers out so that means R&R'ing the stocker every time. Excell says they won't have a header this winter probably, but when they do it will be tuned and fitted to the slip-ons(s-bend/muffler).

hauck racing has a complete system, clutch kit, exhaust, air pods, and efi controler. It's pricey but was made to be used together so it's completely tuned. I will have one soon.

Thanx fx. I look forward to your report on the Hauck system That's supposed to be good for 10-12 hp, right? With clutching and an ECM this might make a new machine out of the phazer. So this system has a header? What about an oxygen sensor? I'm planning an MPI blower, but maybe this system will do the trick. Hurry and get it set up!
