Hello,
I saw a picture of Jimmy Blaze's sled on Ebay and he had an FMF exhaust. I don't think FMF sells snowmobile exhausts. Thus, I was wondering if anyone had tried custom mounting a 450 motocross bike silencer on their phazer? Anyone actually tried an FMF pipe? I think I may have seen a post about someone mounting up a 600 crotch rocket pipe?
I was also wondering how loud this type of setup might be as I'd like to keep my sled respectable (i.e. not too loud)!
Thanks,
Tom

I got a fmf pipe that was meant for a cbr 600 just a slip on. If you dont want it to be loud dont try that pipe because mine is very very loud. If you wanted something a little quieter i would try the excell silencer which was meant for the phazer, excell kit also comes with a piece with vents to close off the tunnel. Also have a couple buddies with yoshimura pipes and they are a little quieter then the fmf but still pretty loud.

Can't wait to see the results... I've been shopping Ebay for a cheap 450 pipe. Where are you cutting your stock exhaust to mount the new silencer? Do you have a plan incase you need to re-attach the stock muffler?

Ya I'm doin the cut between the 2 45 bends and then the stocker can be installed if need be later on.

FMF Exhaust
WeaponX, did you ever get the FMF exhaust from the 450 MX bike mounted up? If so could you please post pics and maybe a sound clip?
Anybody else tried this setup yet?

I installed a 22" long MUZZY silencer on my Fizzer this past weekend. It came off a Kawasaki ZX7. I also cut the stock pipe between the 45's and then used flex pipe to connect it up. It was clean and easy. I have $52 into the whole project. Lost 12 pounds of weight!
I have only run it in the garage so far - and it is loud. I am concerned about trail riding it this way and may have to pull it off as a result. It sounds great, but may not be trail friendly.

Weapon X, how loud is that FMF pipe? And, which pipe did you use? Some of the FMF pipes attach with springs? Did your pipe have tubing attached already?
Thanks!
