Phazer turbo questions regarding octane

Thinking about putting an MC-Xpress turbo on my 07 Phazer. One of my big concerns is with fuel though. Sometimes where I ride on long trail rides, premium fuel is pretty scarce. I can have a supply of fuel at home or bring it with me to wherever we bunk for the night when we go on trips, but some of the longer trips take us to where regular is the only option. How have people gotten around this or is there even a way? I know octane booster is basically #*$&@, so what can I do? Not really anywhere on the Phazere to strap a Jerry Can to bring some gas with me.

Is there a way to just turn down the boost so it will survive for the ride home if I have to dump some good old 87 octane, 10% ethanol fuel in it?

Thanks,

Bruce

Yep, get a boost controller so you can turn the boost down for crappy fuel.

Some other people here should be able to tell you how those work out with an MCX kit, and what boost level you should run with 87.

Been suggested to me to remove spring from blowoff valve and let it run open if you need to run 87. NO LONG FULL THROTTLE PULLS.

You can adjust it using the linkage from the actuator to the wastegate - on the turbo. About 1psi / 1 full thread give or take.

Thanks for that advice. I am really thinking I am going to have to get this turbo when I get home from work this week!
