my 2003 rx1 with light wieght parts and turbo was 610 wet, looks like I have that arctic cat beat, if its really 618.

That weight could be accurate. Gas weighs around 6lbs. per gallon so a 10 gallon tank would weigh 60lbs. and the coolant and oil would use up the other 10lbs.. So 482lbs dry sounds right.

well I was @ the shop and just had the mountain lite full of fuel, oil, and coolant and tiped the scale @

on second thought, that must mean the mtn lite is less then 514lbs dry?

mtn lite base = 514lbs
~6lbs X 8 gallons = 48lbs
other fluids = 5lbs? or more

~570lbs? am i missing something? i so want to believe. bahahaha

but srxspecs FX comes in at 505lbs so this could be right on for the mtn lite.???

Gas is lighter now, being that it is oxygenated it weighs 2lbs. less per gallon. Also, synthetic oil is lighter. This should lighten things up buy 18-20lbs.

well my cert of origin from yamaha came today and it listed the phazer's shipping weight at 507lbs..

must be w/ crate?

So a Phazer Mtn Lite (531) weighs less than a Phazer GT (553) both fully wet ???

Thats wut are scale says.

I still think that is kinda heavy for a 500cc but yamaha is always a bit heavier than the comp cause they over develop for strength.

I would rather have a 30lb heavier sled that can take abuse than a lite weight one that breakes every ride or first tree well or roll over.

You should see if your dealer has a copy of the certificate of Origin, that will show the weight of the sled by itself.

BBM- I have my cert of origin and it says from yamaha that the shipping weight is 507lbs... that must include crate?

Either your scale is off or something else is up. Full wet means with a full tank of gas.
