the tunnel protectors are there to protect the tunnel in a worst case scenario. track balloning, track breakage, etc.
If you doubt what the man said, go look under your own sled. The top axle is solid mounted to the tunnel, and your shocks actually pivot off that point. the track MAY ballon under suspension compression too i think.
but technically, the whole skid will never move up there and hit.

really their solid mounted? i figured the whole rear end just floated on the air in the back to keep everything from rubbing.

it was just a thought i had no need to point out the obvious.

What a great looking sled, have you used the sled sense installing the new skis? I just ordered these c&as, they are the trailx model right? How do they work?
