Piggy back shocks - apex vs vector same?

My shocks are in being rebuilt at a cost of 120 cdn. I found a mint set off a 2010 apex, same style. He claims they were just rebuilt. Are the the same? Part number is slightly different.


Apex shock 8GD-2376A-00-00
Vector shock 8GV-2376A-00-00

Apex had heavier rate spring. Physically they are same and interchange. Not sure if any internal valving differences.

I preferred the Apex shocks on my Vector rather than the stock ones.
