03 RX-1 mountain, Simmons Gen II, Apex seat, 159 Challenger, Powermadd, 3 inch Pivot Riser with 1 inch block. The sled is working great. However I am debating the steering relocation. I can stand easy on this setup and is decent to ride in most conditions. Is the steering relocation that much better? Thanks for the help.

If you go way back in the early days on this forum there has been some debate over that issue. Some guys have referred to your set up like steering an outboard motor compared to re-locate. Other guys like Frostbite has your set up and chose not to re-locate.

Once a relocate has been done everyone seems to love it (other than some steering issues for some).

I debated the same and chose not to do it. For one, I don't live in the mountains and my sled is working great like yours. I am putting a new set of Apex mountain bars on mine with 8 inch lake effect pivot and risers.

It's your call. Do a search or scroll back through the forum and read up on it before you take the plunge.

I agree with Pete. I did the relocate and actually took my 2 inch riser off. The relocate is great for the off trail riding. But I do remember telling pete that it wasn't the best for trail riding. I think that's my I took the riser off.
