Hey guys,

I have a 2005 Vector and had to replace the collar that is part of the track suspension. My rear wheel locked up last year and chewed up the aluminum collar next to it before it suddenly flew off the sled on our last ride. I replaced both of the rear wheels this past month and ordered a new collar which just came in the mail today. What I found when I opened the package was a black plastic collar that I could have easily made from PVC if I knew what I was getting.

My question is, does anyone know if this is a genuine replacement part?

I can't see why they would replace aluminum with plastic. The part number is 90387-26003-00 which is on the diagram under track suspension 2, Tag 60.

2005 Vector RS.

Thanks

I've got 2 of those suspensions and both parts on mine are aluminum not plastic so I'm not sure why they decided to switch to plastic if they did. Maybe trying to lose weight. Basically it just acts as a spacer.

When you look at track suspension 2 part #60 you are looking at the plastic spacer on the shaft that runs through the bottom of the rear arm not the rear axle shaft. That shaft on the bottom of the rear arm does use plastic spacers. Take a look at track suspension 1 for the spacers that go on the rear axle. My guess is you will need part #41, 42, or 43 from that section of the fiche as those are all the aluminum spacers on the rear axle. Give me a call if you need help. Thanks
