plate washer in chaincase

Ive got the chaincase almost fully together but there is a large plate washer i cant figure out where it goes. Can anyone help?

That goes between your lower sprocket and the shift dog. You'll have to open it right up again and take off the lower sprocket.

Looks to me like one of those compression washers that go on each side of the drive gear. The one in the back has a larger hole than the one in the front ?

Yep had the washer on the one side, but the other side (closest to motor) was the one missing.
