I bought a metric hex head bolt (correct thread) to replace the round head allen drain bolt on the bottom of the engine.
Copper washer and new bolt are installed. Anyone see any problem here before I fill it up with Mobil 1? Is there anything special about the stock drain bolt? Thanks in advance.

No, as long as you have the bolt tightened to specs should be fine.
I did the same with mine at the first oil change because I destroyed the original one taking it out. 5000 miles and 2 oil changes later I have no problems.

Are you using an actual yamaha bolt? I say that because the quality of yamaha's hardware is infinately better than anything from the hardware store, especially when it comes to the way the bolt will seat (due to head/washer combo) and if the bolt is galvenized, there will be rough chunks on the threads, at least in my expereince.
I have used then before in a pinch without a problem
