Got all set up to go on a nice ride this morning. Hauled the sleds north and my dad went to start is 07 Attak Gt, fired up for about 5 seconds turned off, tried to start it again, won't start :o|

Sounds like the plugs are fouled. I will admit we were not well prepared for this type of problem, live and learn I suppose, but even if we would have had plugs, changing plugs doesn't take 5 minutes anymore, i don't know. But my question is how often does this happen? I don't want to haul a sled that is fnicky enough to foul plugs like that. It was the first ride of the season, but the sled had been started and ran and warmed up properly multiple times. Does anyone else have these problems or does it sound like a fluke, it sure as heck ruined my day. :o|

Your Dad shut it off or it shut off on it's own?

If you had in the recent past started and turned of the sled without letting it out of the early rich mode, then the plugs were just waiting to f up your day. Replace them and always allow the motor to get to operating temp before you shut it down and you will not have a problem.

I have run these four strokes for six years now and have yet to foul a plug. 21,000 combined miles one set of plugs each. I start and stop as I choose while I make ajustments to the track, clutch, and reverse. something else must be contributing to so many people fouling plugs.

Motor shut off by itself, we always let the engine warm properly, even more so than normal, who know, it could be that we had moved it a little before the red light went off.

Either way now that I am calmed down, if 15 bucks for plugs and and hour and a half of my day is the worst failure of the year I will be happy. Especially considering that it was probably human error somewhere along the line :o|

Thanks guys...we'll try this again tomorrow ;)!
