I was wondering if anybody has put some Polaris 5.35" idlers on their Nytro to try alleviate the wear of their sliders. I've seen quite a few threads on this and was up in the air about it. Is there any thing else required or can I use the original bushings on the new wheels? 700 km's and there wearing out between the two rear idlers on my 09 XTX. Even the dealer says "ya Yamaha's are bad for that" My old RX1 had over 2800 on the originals before I sold it with lots left. Any other remidies or fixes you guys have would be greatly appreciated also.

I have found some Polaris replacement wheels through Royal distributing (coloured with bearings even) for just under $25.00 each. I was just wondering if there's any mods to this type of wheel required. It's less than half price of the Excel kit.

They will work on the outside of the skid but not the inside without modifying the mounts as they would no longer be centered in the track cogs. And they wouldn't fit neither on the mounts that are shared with the suspension as the bearings are wider. Even though the Excell wheels are more expensive, they are a true "plug and play" with the same bearings as the original wheels so no mods to do and they will be properly positioned within the track.

My idlers are on the outside. Will the Polaris wheels not work on those mounts?

I have a 2008 MTX. I bought the wheels from Excell Motorsports.
I haven't put enough miles on to see if they are the answer or not, but I can say I am happy with the product and the fact it is a simple bolt on application as well as the service I received.

They should work on the outside as long as the bolt is long enough. Because the bearing in the Polaris wheel is slightly thicker.
