Guys I'm looking into having light weight hoods made out of lexan. They would come with a built in pod & windshield. You would not be able to add head lights or stock guage without some modification to it. I just need a rough idea if anyone would be interested in such a thing. They would PROBABLY be in the neighborhood of $350 for a clear one and $450 for a colored one. They would weigh roughly 6 lbs total and would have an option for adding a vent for any under hood turbos as well.

I'm also looking into having belly pans made out of lexan. These would be roughly the same weight & cost for a clear & colored as the hoods are. I need at least 25 orders of each to justify the cost.

Have you contacted Sno-Stuff? They make lexan hoods for the RX-1. Dennis Kirk has one on hand for $332 +S/H. I was going to order it but can't afford it right now. :o|

Guys if we can get 25 orders of each I can get the price of a clear hood down to around $275 probably and same with a clear belly pan and probably around $375 for any color or a smoke tinted hood or belly pan.
