A little concerned about voiding warranty, but it looks like trail tunes are pretty safe. Can I do the Eco trail tune with stock muffler?
by all accounts...you might be safer with eco and an exhaust than it stock lol...seriously though...from asking around..its all but bullet proof..

Yes for sure. Most all the big tuners offer a lower boost map that is meant to be run with stock muffler. Likely the most reliable setup out there, and even without any knock protection would never be an issue even if 87 was run. But knock protection looks to be coming this season from most the tuners too, so it becomes even safer then stock IMO.A little concerned about voiding warranty, but it looks like trail tunes are pretty safe. It does get addicting though, so you may consider the flasher as you can then wick it up whenever you want.

You can but power isn't optimal. We have a special version of Ecotrail with Stock muffler and we got good result on that test day with it.A little concerned about voiding warranty, but it looks like trail tunes are pretty safe. Can I do the Eco trail tune with stock muffler?
But I decided to work on that stock muffler tune a bit more. So around mid Dec we will release Ecotrail for stock exhaust AND powertrail for stock exhaust.
For now Ecotrail and Powertrail run optimal with a TD stock modified Exhaust or TD Super Quiet/TurboForce or equivalent muffler

Just ordered my tunes from TD this morning. I tend to research purchases like this as there are a lot of promise makers out their. After speaking to another vendor at a recent trade show, who proceeded to talk down competitors, it left a bad impression on me. Anyone who is in sales and has a good product understands that you underscore why your product is the best in order to close the sale. I've been reading all the comments, reading the testing etc. I've read where Ben got bashed a little and he takes the high road and compliments other vendors while making his case. For the record, he answered all my questions on what is probably a very busy day. He had the opportunity to upsell me on a few things I was interested in. I would have bitten, but he chose to recommend what he found works for my riding style etc. Could have been an extra few hundred dollars. Had another question after the sale and they got right back to me. That tells me all I need to know. Looking forward to seeing how my SW runs this season.

I have a Stock muffler Ecotrail since last year. However back then the demand was very little. And we didn't put a lot of time into that tune.If you look at TDs post about the 10% discount till October 10th you'll see that Ben will be releasing stock muffler tunes very shortly.
On my 17 cat I gained 8 mph top speed back to back and 500-600rpm, that is within minutes flashing the sled on the lake. Because of the hot weather the stock weights worked.
We didn't get a chance to test in winter temps. Soon we will have a chance we have micro climates here it gets very cold early, November usually.
I will putting more time into a Stock muffler lineup of tunes. Ecotrail and Powertrail. I wouldn't go more than that due to the fact stock mufflers retain a lot of heat.
I still highly recommend a muffler, Super quiet or TD stock modified

Ben I think you will get a ton of SW guys liking the stock muffler tune idea.
I find that the Yam crowd over here are many coming up from Apex, and just want to keep things much closer to stock, while the cat gang on HCS is always about the most/biggest/baddest setup. I like it all myself, and think you will find many who like that ability to have it close to stock, and sound stock, and not worry about fuel so much, an 87 octane tune may end up being biggest seller the way I see it, if that is at all possible. Not everyone needs to have 270hp, lol.
Best thing is more options keep coming, making the flasher cable that much more worth its weight in gold!

The hurricane stock muffler tune adds 21hp to the engine and raises the peak rpm to 8800rpm with stock clutching and muffler. This hurricane 225hp flash was initially developed on our engine dyno to measure hp and then tested extensively on the trails to confirm the perfection. We have sold several with each purchaser happy having there expectations being met
