I know alot of guys are wondering, so here's what a ported Nytro head looks like. It's from a guy over here. Wondering what it will do performance wise....He'll put it in a Dyno as soon as everything is bakc togehter...

Is it going to be boosted? I hope so cause he have lowered the compression by quite a bit porting inside the combustion chambers. I hope he have noe disturbed the shape of the combustions chambers as Yamaha engineers have put some effort into the creation of the chambers performancewise, in a boosted application this will most likely not make much of a difference but in a NA application it will disturb the flow in the CC.
Please let us know how the engine performs on the dyno. I hope he dynoed before, or else the dyno session may not tell us anything.
I may sound pessimistic, but I'm not if this is in a boosted application
In a NA engine it's all about velocity and larger holes doesn't necessarily help in filling the CCs with charge, like Motoman have showed us it is possible to make more power in a NA engine by reducing the port size. But who am I to tell. I'm looking forward to still to see the results from the dyno.

can't get this guy to boost even if we wanted, so this is going in a N/A sled...
I think it's ottars garage that will dyno it, so I'm sure we'll see the true numbers...I'm looking forward to see what he gains/looses on this one...we've had quite a few discussions on N/A vs turbocharging....in my mind...there's only ONE good way to get what you want out of a Yamaha 4-stroke...TURBO...for ANY kind of riding...If not, you're set up wrong.
