Powdercoating front Suspension

I am thinking about having powdercoating put on my front A Arms, Anyone done this? What do I need to know? Should I replace anything like bushings while doing this? If so where do I get the bushings from? Are the hard to change? Anything that cant be powdercoated for tollerance reasons? I appologize if this has been covered already! Thanks! Also I have a dent in my front left lower A Arm should I replace it or will body filler hold up in the powdercoating process? If I need to replace does anyone have one laying around they want to sell? Thanks Guys!

Powder coating is baked on around 350f I think. I wouldn't use body filler. Other than removing old bushings and having the holes plugged prior to the coating there shouldn't be anything special about this. I want to sandblast and repaint mine blue to match my sled.

You should have no problems coating them and the tolerances are pretty small when you add the powder so if they are stripped first and recoated to a 1mm-2mm thickness you should be fine, otherwise a simple light sanding of the specific areas after coating will work too if needed. There is a metal filler made and distributed by "hot coat" and by "columbia Coatings I believe that can fill metal just fine. Could probally use jb weld too as a filler and sand it. If they are that bad and need filling I would replace since it is probally bent from such an impact.
Might as well replace the bushings while they are out anyways if they are worn and have not been replaced, its fairly inexpensive to do. Anyone who has powder coated would know what to do either way to make them look nice and will also know what products to use.
I do all my own coating and have figured out the little tricks!
I just did all the red parts on my Phazer this past weekend take a look....took me all day to do it but it had to be taken apart as I went too.

Thanks for the advice, Any Idea where I can buy aftermarket bushings, good ones? Phazer looks sweet! I want to do mine all black as my Warrior is mostly black, Kinda like that all black look!

Ulmer sells bronze bushings, should be the last ones you ever buy.....

Did mine on my RX-1 last year. Still looks like they were just done after one season. Ditto on Ulmers bushings.
