Just snow checked a new Nytro XTX. Debated between an Apex and the Nytro. So, my '06 Nytro RTX is for sale.

Any recommended mods you guys have done?

Larger idlers wheels, extra tunnel heat exchanger, OFT steering relocator, new skis

OFT Steering Relocator and skis for sure. Changes the sled dramatically.

Ride it first then fig. out what to do you may like it just the way it is ...My brother inlaw did not do any thing to his and its a 2010 nytro se the way it came is the way he rides it and loves it ...did not change a thing

Thanks so far

Thanks for the replies and ideas so far. I like the turbo idea! ;)! A little boost will do ya...

The skies on my 06 Nytro sucked (replaces with C&A Pro's) as did the hand warmers (put on yamaheaters and taller windshield). 3000 miles on original sliders. Wore down to a certain point fast (scared me) and stayed there...

To start, skid plate and taller windshield. I'll see how the new skies behave.

The turbo is by far the best (and most expensive) mod i have done to my sled. But i seriously love it. It's just so wicked awesome.

But I'd say the most important thing to get for your new sled is a Roll Over Valve. Check out oftracing.com. It's a must for these sleds. Also if you do lots of powder riding I'd recommend getting a Roest skid plate to prevent the ice buildup in front. I don't have one on mine yet, but It's #1 on the summer budget ;)!

Good luck

Skid plate, taller windsheild, roll-over valve (shameless plug:-), and a windshield bag are the first things I added to mine.
After that then it gets a little more specific to the type riding you do.
For example I "mountainized" mine, 2" track, mountain skis, OFT relocator, Timbersled front and rear suspensions, Float X shocks, EFI Vector guage pod (it has a nice big analog tach).

You used to be able to request a 1.75 Back Country track when you spring ordered your sled. I would call the dealer and see what they can do. That may not be the number one mod, but would be number one on researching and calling the dealer about.
