Precision Skis on a RX

Not sure what you mean by the stock mounting kits. If you are talking about the mounting hardware included with the precision skis, yes I have installed them on both my Dad's '03 RX-1 as well as my Mom's '06 Vector with no issues. I am considering putting the Simmons on my '05 RX-1 and my Wife's '05 Vector...

You do have to do some modification, but nothing major. There is a rubber mount that is too tall to fit under between the ski and the mount. We had to cut a quarter of an inch or so of it off in order for it to fit.

The hardware is included in the install kit.........i found them to work way better than the stock skis.........but nowhere near as good as the simmans.

Probably not as good as the Simmons but you can get the Precisions cheap on ebay because a lot of Rev owners don’t like them and swap them out. Personally I really like them, hardly ever dart! ;)!

Well i can get the Pilot or the Precision what ones to get?? They are going on a Yamaha Rx1 i am a flat lander and ride lots of trail and ditch!

Thank you Skydog

Skydog I have a set I payed $425.00 last winter I will sell you for $250.00 obo I live fairly close in crystal lake!

Pilot or the Precision ?? What one you have?

I just bought some Pilots.

I put on the Simmons last year after experiencing what I thought was poor stability with Powder Pros.

On the limited end of season ride (mostly heavy spring snow, about 500 miles), I didn't like them as much as I thought I would. Pushed a lot more in the corners than the Pros, and were heavier to steer.

I also discovered some alignment issues and loose mount bolts when swapping, so that was probably the cause of my steering issues with the Pros.

Going to put the Pros back on again to compare, I suspect that I'll be sticking with them. They are a bit too wide, and don't tie down in the trailer as well, but seem to bite and float better, and are easier to steer.

I'm still looking for the perfect ski :o|
Stockers don't float worth a $hit, Simmons are too wide for my trailer ramp :o| and I have heard that the Doo Precisions push too much in loose conditions :?

C@A skis seem to be a good ski always heard good things. Idk why you guys are putten those crap ski doo skis on em ski doo even changed there skis sooo
