So I just broke 1 of the 6 clutch cover bolts off in spider. I was able to drill out the bolt. From what I can tell I could thread a 8mm bolt on the hole but the clutch wouldn't be balanced? Any ideas on what I should do? Its my back up sled so not looking to break the bank

I'm not sure I follow. If you broke off a bolt but was later able to extract it and replace with a 8mm bolt, why would you think the clutch would be unbalanced? Are you thinking that since the replacement bolt you used is not OEM which may not weigh the same is why it would be unbalanced? Or, in order to extract the bolt, did you have to enlarge the hole in the spider to the point where it takes a larger bolt thread and that's the reason for the unbalance? I too have snapped off a bolt but was fortunate enough to extract the bolt without affecting the existing threads. I ended up using a replacement bolt from local hardware store while I ordered OEM (not so much because of possible weight differences but being anal) and didn't have any issues. I now have OEM spares so if you're wanting to confirm the bolt thread size, let me know and I can check.

Just saw your post in the Wanted section for an Apex primary clutch so I suspect you did have to tap the spider and that's why it would be unbalanced. I would contact @hibshman25 of Barn of Parts for a good used primary if that's the case. ;)!

From what I gather, you broke 1 of the 6 cover bolts off in the movable sheave...not the spyder. These clutches can be taken apart and replace parts if needed. Thunder Products Clutching does repair on clutches and balances clutches also.
