Primary Clutch face wear

How long have you run your stock clutch? The reason I ask is that I have 4000 miles on mine the primary clutch faces are worn (concave) about half way up the face. This must be due to the hard belts Yamaha uses.

Belt slippin'? Have you checked your belt deflection? I have over 7K miles on my RX-1. I have no abnormal wear. How many belts have you used for 4K miles? I used one, and it finally let go late last year at ~ 6.8K miles. Been messing with the clutch or is is stock?

I have used 2 belts in 4000 miles. When I measure the belts for wear they are in spec. No black marks on clutch facings. Clutch alignment is ok. The wear is half way up the face and that is where, I must run most of the time. I run for long periods at a time at one speed. I have a clutch kit installed and works excellent.

My 05 Warrior had somewhere between 4000 -5000 miles on it prior to trading it in and I did notice that it had a groove(s) worn on the primary down low near the engagment.
