Parts for my clutch came in yesterday. Went to pick up the sudgested loctite that's in the service manual but no one stocks it here. It's a week and a half away to order it. Just wondering what everyone else has used with success on the spider threads. Loctite 648 sleeve retainer is what's recommended in the manual. Looking at the specs permatex red high temp thread locker is similar in its working properties.

The red locktight will work just fine. Clean the threads with a brush and brake cleaner first tho.

Good to known for next time. My brother had some 680 loctite which is a little stronger then 648. It might be a bit of a struggle to get it appart again but it shouldn’t fall appart anyways lol. Best part was it was free lol.

That looks like the kit I was going to buy but it was 1200 dollars here. I opted out after I found that out lol.
Torque spec is 145 ft lbs for the spider/ fixed sheave.

Well that’s just crazy, you could get a 4 tower billet for that!
