I just received my new exhaust (Snow Stuff- Rumble Pack). In the paperwork that comes with this it reads that it was dynoed with (stock air box) ..Mine is not stock and they are warning me i mite run lean and smoke a piston...I already use 91 octanne fuel because of the Powercommander lll and was wondering if IT will compansait for the exhaust change also ??? I was planning to install on friday BUT i DO NOT want to mess things up over 3-5 more HP .... Does anyone have some imput as i sure could use it right now :o|

exactly, thats just to cover their #*$&@. if you are worried call ulmer and buy a map for $20 for the mods you have, if you bought the pc111 from him i think it might even be free.

Yes .......the PC lll did come from Allen...........I aim not looking to take it off and send it to him now ---as i need the sled ////snow gone soon.....Will the PC ajust for this ??? or does Allen need it ???

or you can add fuel right through the computer on the sled. You can read on how to do so on ulmers site under stealth air box mod. Its very easy, it's called adjusting your CO's.

do you have a lap top? if you do its so simple to put a map in them! allen will e-mail you a map and all you do is hook it up with the usb cord and send the map. i think you could even take it off the sled and go in the house and load a map also, call allen and he will hook you up. its serieously less than a 2 minute job.

not trying to argue but adjusting your co's is a very small adjustment for idle only and it wont help him on top end where he will need fuel.

That notice is probably meant for their 2 stroke pipes. I have never seen nor heard of a "smoked piston" from adding an aftermarket exhaust. At most if you had a really lean cylinder you could run the chance of burning an exhaust valve but not from only adding an exhaust. I highly doubt you would even run the risk of ending up with a severe lean condition from an exhaust and a modded air box without adding extra fuel. Your engine will run more lean for sure with those mods but the 4 strokes are not effected like the 2 strokes are from lean conditions. I would however recommend adding fuel with those mods because the engine could definitely use it . The exhaust alone will let the engine breath better and may create a low end stumble that can be adjusted out with your PCIII. I doubt the PCIII alone without an air box mod and or ignition module is doing much unless you have had it tuned with an o2 sensor. Even then I don’t think you would be picking up much on a stock motor with the PCIII alone. JMO

ICEMAN===With the PC lll i do have IGN. and Air box mod..............and this pipe and mufler is for 06 Apex................

If you bought your PCIII form Ulmer he will have a map for everything you have with the exception of the exhaust. His map was set-up for the Excell but the map for that will work just fine with your pipe.

pc111

you can add 10% from your contoller each bar is 2% you richen and lean
your paper work tells you how to do. your plenty rich fron allen.

If you’re adjusting from the buttons on the side of the controller your info posted is correct, but in the software, you can add or subtract up to 100% in 1% increments. His mapping may not be that rich from Allen, I don't think Allen has set up his maps for the Fix Lid which can lean it out on top much more then Allen's air box mod does.

pc111

the reason i told him to do that way is that he did not want to send to allen
also he should be able to run sled and know if it's lean.
