Does anyone know if the production models will have the tunnel covered underneath the seat? From those demo photos, it sure looked like a lot of snow accumulated on the back and near the rear of the running boards. I sure hope it's covered.

I was told by a rep. at the demo show that there would be small round holes to let the snow spray up and help keep the exaust cool, but their would be no issue with snow accumulating under the seat.

In this tread it still has the open hole in the tunnel.

Isn't that asfault sled a demo sled?
I saw a demo sled over at the shop last week, that had the plate with round holes in it underneeth the seat. Just like the plate MCX uses underneeth the turbo. Don't know if it was put there after the sled had been demo'd, but it sure looked much better....

I would rather have the holes over the open tunnel. It just seems likw it would fill up with ice and snow to easily without something there to stop the snow.
I talked to mountain performance and they said to call back in a week and they should have a full production sled. They told me they heard rumor that the bulkhead was being tweaked a little and the injectors were being swapped. Just my .02

The tunnel will not be totally closed off, as closing it off lets the pipe get too hot which results in a hp loss. BTW I rode the Mtn pz with the "hole" in spring snow and did not have any problems with getting snow on me. I am not suprised about the bulkhead getting tweaked as the pre-production models did not have the desired turning radius.
