Core
Thanks again,
TT the core is 3" it is a boondocker intercooler from a m1000 race kit. It is about 12" across and 6 inch long tubes. The bungs for the meth nozzles I turned on a lathe. I went to school for machine tool and die. Also the supports run down to the motor. The intercooler doesn't touch the frame of the sled then and if the motor moves slightly or vibrates it stays with it. They are on the boss on the motor where the battery bracket mounts.
Yes I am very happy with how things are turning out. Can't wait to get it done. My cousin does top notch welding as well.
I think I will have some more pictures tonight. We cut the yamaha boss seat out to fit over the rev tank. And you won't even be able to tell it has a rev tank when all is said and done.
Good buddy Rick from utah is giving me a lightweight rx1 hood with some damage. I have a trucker friend picking it up from him today. Probally going to have it a custom paint job as well. I wasn't going to but the sled is turning out stellar and it might as well looks sweet too.

It looked like 3" cord in the pictures
I really like your way of taking time do the the small things correct from the start. You will benefit from it when the project is done. I have to second Rick statment - YOU GOT SKILLS MAN - hands down :rules
Your and Paul's mid mount conversions are giving me sleepless nights - LOL I want to do a mid mout conversion every time a look at the pictures of your sleds.
I can wait to see your sled done. With a gutted Boos seat - you can't tell that is a rev-tank at all.
I bet Rick will return to the Dark side after he taken your sled for a ride. IS Rick done with his project?

Re: Core
I think he is getting near done with his sled. I am going to look into getting a set of extensions cut that would be alot like vanamburg boondock tunnel for him.
Maybe someday I will be able to meet up and ride with him. He is 1200 miles from me. Maybe he can come up and ride with us sometime when we are out west though.
Diffinately alot of little things that I am doing. Alot of components. All take time. It could come together faster, But my cousins shop is 40 miles away so i don't get down there except for the weekends. I think alot of people don't realize the amount of components that go into a kit.

Turbo Mocked up
Here is a pic of the header and turbo mocked up. We were working on the down pipe last night. Another cool looking component. Don't have any pictures of it though. But it is 3 inch.

That looks very nice!!!! Is that at 2560? How will that back pressure be with that setup on long pulls? Are you going with a 3" downpipe or 2,25" devorced down pipe?
Sorry I didn't see that you were going with a 3" downpipe before posting - I was too buzzy looking at the picture
- smart move with a 3" downpipe to get the heat out

Turbo
It is a HKS Gt2530. The wheels are very similar sized to a gt2860rs. But it has a .64 a/r exhaust housing. This should give it a quick spool over the .86a/r that the gt2860rs has.
Yes the 3" downpipe will have no problem flowing. It is big! The downpipe flange has a divider on it as well to keep the wastegate flow separate. We have it all tacked up I just didn't get a chance to take pictures.

You will be ok with your turbo even on long pulls I'm pretty sure of.

Getting much closer
Almost all the components are done. Header, downpipe, intercooler, charge tube, are all done. Just need to do a finish assembly, mount the meth pump and controller and fab up a heat shield for the turbo. My cousin is designing a tank for the water/meth that will be very slick.
Very happy with how it is all coming togther. Here are some more pics took them with my phone so not the greatest. When it is all done I will diffenately get the good camera out for a photo shoot.

Thanks TT
Thanks, It is turning out very well. Very nice and clean setup. Not all mangled with wires and hoses all over the place. It just looks simple. I really like the way it looks. It won't be long now and I will be saying i like the way it sounds!
BTW. . . I rode a stock 07 vector this weekend. Wow I was really disappointed. It jsut felt like it didn't transfer weight at all. I think there was something wrong with the suspension. I am sure the tvec won't feel anything like that.

I looks super clean! Are you going to make a heat shield between the turbo and REV tank?
I really like that bracket for the rev gas tank, turbo hanger/support and you got that 3" downpipe to fit in the chassie. It looks like a devorced down pipe - correct?
You have to load up a sound clip/video on youtube when you have the sled running!
Once again - AWSOME!!!!!!!!

It must be great having all that extra space with the 3-banger engine, from what I can tell by looking at the pics you're able to route most hoses and wireing along side the cylinders with plenty of room to spare
Great thread on the 3 cyl RS engine, best so far

Thanks
Will definately have a video when it is done.
The downpipe is not a double down pipe. It is a 3 in pipe that is ovaled to fit the flange that is divorced. So this is not a true double down pipe but It is still divorced so it should flow very well.
The downpipe fit very nicely. once again I am very happy with how everything fits. I cannot be credited with the idea of where the turbo is but I sure would like to think that my cousin and I can be credited with a clean compact build.
Got some more work done on the sled last night. Mounted the meth/water pump and controller last night. Built a bracket for the pump and controller to mount to and bolted that in the nose of the sled. Looks like it should be there. Also my cousin started working on the very trick meth/water tank/belt guard last night as well. Should be somewhere in the 1.5 gal to 2 gallon capacity, with a built in baffle that makes a nice little sump for climbing hills.
Also got the pitot tube done last night. Should be slick for tuning, once I get a baseline.
RXrider. Thanks for the props on the clean install. I am very proud of it and I can tell that my cousin is as well. He takes great pride in his workmanship, and I couldn't ask for a better craftsman to work on my sled.
I am waiting for one fitting for the coolant to the turbo. The one i had will not clear the steering so I had to find a different low profile one. Ordered it on monday. Hopefully it doesn't take forever to get here. I would get the turbo on and stuff but I think I will have to have it off the sled to install the new fitting.

Sound clip
Here is a short sound clip. It is with my phone so it is pretty poor.

I got about 40 miles on the sled this weekend and and pretty happy with it. Have not changed a thing for the clutching or jetting. The jetting seems to be pretty darn good. Maybe a little fat. It has a pitot tube with a mikuni jet that is plugged right now so I can lean it up a little very easily. Definately need to add some weight to the clutch or a bigger helix. It over revs pretty easily. I am not sure what I am running for boost as my boost gauge is acting weird. It is liquid filled. When I turn the sled off it will sit at 4 lbs of boost. I am wondering if it twisted the needed from the vacuum? I would assume that I am running 6-7 lbs of boost then, as the gauge reads 10lbs at full boost. I can only guess that a few more lbs of boost and I will really need more weight in the clutch.
I may have to get a gauge that reads both boost and vacuum.
