I'm using the woodys "long track 162" pattern. you use 54 double backers and 54 singles.
Skid comes out very easy

Why did you remove the track to stud it?

You took the track out to stud it!
WOW thats alot of work for that... It only took me 2.5 hrs to stud my track in the sled by myself!

I didn't pull the track to stud it. I got rid of the Ripsaw for a .75 track. While it's out I'm studding it becuase it's a lot easier. Even if I was keeping the ripsaw I would have pulled the track to stud it. I think it's easier.
Plus I can insepect my skid and I'm also adding a new spring to the Shock so while it's out I'll do all that as well

He must want top end, but why have an attack if that;s the case.

I don't believe in the tall lug tracks anymore. We took two vipers last year on the Muni ride. My wifes had 96 studs my buddy's which was unstudded. It didn't matter what snow condition we rode in the Studded sled pulled the unstudded sled out of the whole. They both had ripsaws on so I thought the 96 studs wouldn't make a big difference but they did.
So I decided to go to a short lug track and run a shorter stud. I'm running 1.080 Hornets in a .75 track which is equal to running a 1.340 in a 1 inch track. So I'll get great hole shots with big top end. The other nice thing is I didn't have to run a super long stud anymore. They long studs really need the bigger nuts and they generally cost more. I bought 192 1.080 Hornets 72 Double woody's angled backs and 72 single angled woody's backs for 315.00. It would have cost me just for the 192 hornets in the 1.340 length. That's stud only. It would have cost me about 100.00 more to do the bigger studs in the ripsaw plus I don't think it works as good
Go to Lightning Pro's web site. They run the same .75 track on there turbo sleds. Last year at an uphill snow drag they out Launched paddle track sleds in deep loose snow. They also did side by side testing with a ripsaw and the .75 on turbo sleds and the .75 was better in all conditions.

After 136ing my 03 Rx-1 I'll never own a 121 again. I'll get better ride quailit and Hole shots with the Attack plus i'll run the same top end as the 121 now. The biggest thing is ride quality

I'll agree with you on everything else, but I'm not so sure about the top end. Let me put the same size track as what you have with only 144 studs and I bet mine would win. There's alot less rotating mass with the same hp.

I don't think the limiting factor of Top MPH is the track length. I think it's Gear ratio and HP. I think every apex will be able to achieve the MAX MPH the Apex can produce with the current HP level and Gear ratio. I don't think track length will affect it.
