Pulled my sled out the other day, and noticed I had pulled a stud backer and all through the track. What is the best way to fix this hole to prevent the track from tearing. It's on a 2007 RTX 1 1/4 ripsaw track approx 1000 miles on it. Any help is appreciated.

LEAVE STUD OUT , FORGET IT !

Exactly, unless it was a double stud backer plate, which would leave a huge hole, similar to the ones that plagued my ripsaw.

Also, turn the track over by hand to see if you have any more bent or missing. Replace bent ones because they will eventually tear and snug up all the studs.

Not that big of a job and definately worth it, beer and friends make this better!

Not to be Mr. Obvious but I would also check under the tunnel to make sure that the stud made it out. Also inspect your front heat exchanger, seems like you would have noticed if it was leaking but you may have damage that isn't leaking yet.

let me tell you what I've done in the past on a friends machine...first ...let me explain...inside of the track is made of a chording....kinda like a window screen...
so what I've done is taken an upholstery needle and thread and actually sewn the hole /rip...in a star or round like pattern..
this worked amazingly well for us...
