Pulled the trigger on a Ski-Doo XRX 1200

lol well i came to my turbo in a bit of a funny way

i was working at the local doo dealer and had bought an 08 mxz 800r in the x package

i had mountain skis, yellow skid plate, yellow tunnel stiffeners, yellow windshield base, mbrp muffler and a spare 1.75 camoplast challenger

sold it to buy a new car because my insurance company told me that my GTP was written off, then after reciepts were sent in, they changed their mind

so i was out of a sled and found my turbo for $5100 and took it home the day i looked at it

and i can honestly say that i really do miss the mxz

they handle great, they are light for what they are

and i ride my sleds hard and honestly never had any chassis issues at all!

good buy ted! im sure you wont be dissappointed with it once you get it dialed in

Wat color did you get?

Yellow X model

Hopefully you can figure out a good clutching (supreme tool, etc) set up that will last. I want to boost my 1200, but don't want the clutch to go boom :o|

Keep us informed on the progress.

Thanks

Z1 turbo with only a D&D boondocker boost controller 260hp......
any one have any experience?

I could be wrong but I heard, Race Gas, Clutching, and Lots of Studs.

That is more than 80 HP over Stock which should take around 8 more lb. boost over stock.

Quit impressive even if you require race gas
closest we seen to a factory high horsepower turbo
sled we have seen. Useless for the kind of mountain riding I do
but with just a controller.....must be a good size turbo.
17 pounds boost?

I can fit the turbo in one hand.
It might be OK for a Quick 1/8 mile run at sea level but will not live in the mountains at that turbo Speed.

I wasn't too impressed with those Z1's at the Amsnow shootout...

Good for you  Let us know what you think of it. Competition benefits us all.

You're forgetting the 'back support' for when you need to lift the pig up.
