For EPI puller is it PCP-6 the right one?

It holds back on the clutch so it doesn't just spin while you try to tighten the puller. I just stick a piece of half inch NP pipe through the clutch towers to hold back. There's many ways to do it. Using an impact it doesn't take much to keep it from spinning. I don't like the idea of an impact banging the crank bearings but plenty of people do it. Just like I'm sure others don't like the idea of sticking something through the clutch towers. Plenty of us do that as well.
There are some non Yamaha snowmobiles I won't mention here that can actually have the crank come out of phase using an impact on the clutch bolt but I have never been concerned about the Yamaha 4 stroke crank. I use an impact on occasion but will not advise you too!

If they would come out phase with an impact then they would also come out of phase during normal use.

For years an impact was all we ever used on the oval race sleds. Yami twin 2s, triple 2s and the 4s. Never had a problem and we took the primary off a lot. In a normal year at Soo I-500, we might have the clutch off several times a day changing stuff. May not be best recommended practice, but that's how we always did it.

Yep that is why most had the cranks in question welded when out, not a Yamaha though so that may be off topic

Not off topic just a very good point that one should be careful with an impact and that I agree with.
