Pump gas HP #s for Apex Supercharger

I didn't wanna be a guinea pig. I may try a SC in a year or two, once they have some time on them and they are a little more proven in my application. Apart from a little jetting/clutching, my MCX was bolt in and go last year. They even told me what jets/weights to try. I also changed my fuel lines due to a rubber compound problem.

I've been running a supercharger on the asphalt for a couple weeks now. Running at 10lbs and the only issues I have had have been self inflicted (except one that is being addressed, and is common with the turbos also). If you can wrench and follow directions the install is easy. I've been working on clutching and dropping time every weekend. Should be running 9s by next Saturday. The kits from MPI are excellent. I can't wait to run it on the snow.

Can someone make a timing master similar to what supercharged cars use.

On our SC mustang, we have a dial that we can decrease timing as manifold presure increases.

This is comming! From Boondockers and Parker motorsports.

sounds like the #'s are messed up cause the sc guys want a straight bolt on. then change a pulley and change gas #'s go up. they dont want to get into swapping pistons and head gaskets yet, to up the #'s on regular fuel.

I beleive frustrated is exactly how I feel as well. I understand that there is all kinds of info about fuel requirements, compression ratios, timing, engine mods, boost levels and EFI controls coming from everyone and it always seems to contradict someone else so I will try to simplify the answers as follows.

Fuel requirments for sc kits are the same as turbo kits with the same boost levels.

Engine mods for sc kits are the same as turbo kits with the same boost levels.

EFI tuning is very similar to turbo setups only slightly easier to adjust.

Compression ratios for different boost levels on sc's and turbos are the same.

I didn't engineer this kit to replace turbo's, only to offer another option to those that wish to try something different. Turbo's and sc's both have pros and cons and as I have stated before I own and ride both. Why don't we sell turbo's anymore? Because everyone already does so it made sense to us to try something else.

I am sorry for all the misinfo on the web as well as over the phone, I hope this helps.

Thanks
Abe
