I bought some rail extensions and was planning on putting on a track from a firecat. I found a good condition 13.5x128x1.75 that came off of a sabercat 500.
Would I have any issues with this track? Its not local so would be getting someone to pick it up for me, so have to make sure I get the right track
Thanks

I did the 128 track extension over the summer, but i cut down a 15" track.
Other people have used the 13 1/2" track, but you will need the 4th wheel in the back.
If it were me, i wouold go with cutting down a track. I know its only 1/4" per side, but it is extra insurance.
Cutting down the track was alot easier than I expected. there is a real good sticky on it.

i have been running the 13.5 x 1.7 x 128 cat track for two seasons. No issues mechinically but will eat slides if you ride the trails. i also removed all the outer idler wheels and only run two rear wheels

I've been running a 128x13.5x1.375 for a couple seasons with no issues. I put ice scratchers on and a set of polaris idler wheels(bigger than yamy) by the front bend in the rail, all trail riding, and have good hyfax life(2 yrs). 13.5 fits fine, add some wheels and scratchers and ride it.

When you do the conversion going 13 1/2" or 14" up to you.
The 4th wheel adds insurance. If the track tries to come off the 4th wheel will help to re-align it. I have seen what happens to a sled that had the track come off. The amount of damage is huge, and lots of $$$$$. May as well spend a few dollars and protect your investmant of the extensions, track, and not to mention your sled.
I learned real fast from another persons hardships. By the time it was all said and done his sled was not worth fixing.
Again it`s up to you, just trying to keep you informed.
