This may be a dumb question, but I am about to install the Yamaha Ultra plate on my XTX. The instructions say to tip the sled on its side to get at the belly plate. The picture in the instructions show the sled being tipped on its left side. From what I have been reading on here if the sled is tipped on its left side then oil will leak from the tube in the air box. Does the sled have to be tipped right over to leak, or just a bit? I will probably just tip it to the right anyways but I am curious to how much role you can have before it leaks?

I put a strap on the front bumper and lifted it straight up. Here are a few tips: be careful not to over tighten the aluminum rivits ( they go from tight to striped in a heart beat). Don't be surprised when the pre-drilled holes in the plate don't line-up with the rivits, just get three in and drill a new hole for the fourth. The quality of manufacture of these pieces really suck! I bought the A-arm protectors too they're even worse!

I agree. The arm protectors are good guality but the mounting hardware is crap. I had to make up brakets from scratch.

When I put my ultra plate on I put some wood blocks under the skis to get it high enough so I could drill and work under it. It worked well.
