On my R-TX SE that I just got this year I just put on 1000km so far this winter, decent for living in Toronto lol.
I did 1st engine/chaincase oil change at 500km because I was heading up North for a 800km + trip and didn't want to do it after.
I have Max Spool 17, 3Bar, intake, TD Super Quiet, Primary/Secondary Springs and Rollers, Dalton Helix, Dalton DTYA weights with 78g, Ultimax XS825 belt, 135 x Megabite 1.575's, probably missing something, stock gearing.
I'm seeing 8950rpm and fastest I saw was 105mph, having said that I haven't really held it for too long for fear of a: blowing the belt and b: fear of hitting the Rhubard at crazy speeds lol
Does the rpm seem right? It's real snappy in the trail I absolutely LOVE this thing. So darn fast!
How long are you holding it WOT to hit the 120mph+ speeds?

Rpms are good. Last year geared 22/41 I ran 131 in 2000' and 124 in 1320' with a 1.25" track and 192 1.575 Megabites. This was running TD max17. This was on ice.
This year I'm running max spool 17, shaved my track to 1", sharpened my studs and removed 48 of them, will be gearing up to 22/37 (37 gear back ordered) and hoping to hit 130 in 1320' on pump gas.

I'm running only 91,whatever 91 I can get either Esso or Petro around here. Haven't seen a knock light no, I assume I'm just not holding it long enough. I will try and man up tomorrow lol

One thing I haven't mentioned is my belt sits maybe 1/16th to 1/8th below the top of the secondary sheaves. I need to get proper sized Washers so I can adjust that up a bit, unsure of the impact deflection has on rpm/speed.

Deflection has nothing to do with rpm or speed.

Deflection affected the top end speed on both my poo and apex, belt too high and I lost mphDeflection has nothing to do with rpm or speed.

No, this is wrong. How high the belt sits in the secondary only changes the ratio at initial clutch engagement. It has ZERO effect once the machine is past +/- 5 mph.Deflection affected the top end speed on both my poo and apex, belt too high and I lost mph

I am seeing 128 on the Speedometer in about 1500 ft with the hurricane 270 flash and stock gearing on my 141

I do like the adjuster for getting belts nice and taught for deflection, I am always re-setting mine as i'm OCD and for tight trails, corner to corner a tight deflection makes for more snappiness down low.One thing I haven't mentioned is my belt sits maybe 1/16th to 1/8th below the top of the secondary sheaves. If its below, you can have a poor drive off.....but as mentioned above, once running along, the belt will find its sweet spot at any given ratio, dictated by the springs, weights, and speed/rpm ect. But still, I am OCD about deflection anyway and it's a good habit to be in. The Cat setup is quite awesome which I would love about the TEAM. Next time you see a cat 998, check belt..its TIGHT!
Dan
Belt deflection, [ belt sitting low in secondary], could be an indication of belt wear. A worn, thinner, drive belt won't produce the same potential top speed through clutch ratios.
what were the temps? smell any plastic....lots are running in less than great temps and conditions...just saying..

So an update, I found a nice smooth hard pack lake to run on and in the shortish distance I saw 116mph this time. I'm seeing just under 8900rpm. I'm just too chicken to hold it longer lol I much rather have the 20-60mph acceleration than the top speed I think.
@ROCKERDAN we need you to get a Team clutch setup done and let us all know how-to lol

I'm assuming it's still pulling hard at 116. You should be fine to hold it till about 125 then get out of it. You won't hurt the engine as long as there isn't knock. You just don't want to hold the clutch at full shift for very long. I thing people are hitting 128-130 on stock gearing at full shift when Rpms start to climb toward rev limit.

I am not condoning full throttle pulls on trails, but 105 at the correct rpm's seems low.
Find a lake, PIN the BITCH then re-post.
I saw 120 speedo on trails & 124 on lake at 9000 rpm's with Powertrail.
Stock i would see 115 all day.
