GUTTING OUT
I WILL BE DOING ANOTHER ONE THIS WEEKEND AND I CAN TAKE SOME PIC'S OF WHAT TO CUT OUT. THE TWO PIPES THAT GO TO THE OUTSIDE EXHAUST TIPS IS THE ONES THAT NEED TO BE CUT OUT THE LITTLE ONE IS JUST A BAFFLE. CUT THE TWO PIPES THAT IN BETWEEN THE TWO PLATES. CUT THEM RIGHT OUT. SEND ME YOUR EMAIL AND I WILL SEND SOME PIC'S OF WHAT I CUT OUT.

heres what I did to mine.I just opened up the plates that are in the middle ,and left the pipes that exit out the sides.Waiting for snow to see if it helped or hurt performance.It does sound better not much change in overall sound level but with a little deeper sound.Id say about the same increase in noise as the ecp kit,now I can hear both.

The Hauck pipe is listed at 11 pnds lighter and I believe it was more than that. It is also a 7 hp gain. With track change, pipe, and bender RA suspension I have eliminated 35 pounds easily.

cut all those pipes out of it, remove all that garbage. more weight loss and better sound.

I removed all the stuff from inside and I think that is way to loud and sounds like s#*t and now I have to see if my exhaut guy can do something or try to find a used exhaust somewhere...

RX-1PRO maybe Iam not getting it you say gutt everything out nothing left but an empty can and it sounds great, mine sounds like a 4 stroke with a hole in it muffler. The only thing he said he left was the two thing on the end of the two pipes coming into the can....

Hey Indy,
I would but the guys I am with booked us in Sand River. Were going to be completly across the UP. We have been known to do 300 mike days so it's possible we'll get to Garnd Marias but thats still only about half way to you.
Either way I'll PM ya. Never hurts to have numbers in case guys cant ride! I plan on at least 3 more trips this year.

WE WILL BE IN TROUT LAKE 18th THOUGH THE 22nd OF JAN WILL TRY TO RIDE NORTH TO MUNISING IF THERES SNOW AND THE TRAILS ARE WELL ENOUGH TO RIDE . WE WILL HAVE AALL THREE SLEDS THAT ARE GUTTED.

gutted rx exhust
i gutted mine 2 seasons ago and loved the sound but after riding all day i had about 40% hearing loss for about 6 hrs after a 100 mile ride my ears would ring like i just left a metalica concert so i put on a used stock for last season and i missed that nice sound that everybody loved but my ears so once again i gutted my exhust again but i only opened up the muffler and drilled 3 small 5/8 inch holes in the pipes and its a little softer sound its still loud after 4000 rpms but not making my ears bleed !!!

oh yea. i forgot to tell you i also lost about 10 mph. on top speed with gutted pipe last year i went over 100 easy with stock pipe i raced rx boston ( dana ) on back lake in pittsburg n.h. last year 124 mph. all stock 04 warrior this year i can only go 100 mph with gutted pipe but thats fast enughf for me n.h. speed limit 45 mph.
