I am now ready to stud my sled for those who have already studed your rtx, what size did you use(1.40 Redtips, or 1.52 Woddys?) I will be putting on 96 down the middle of the track if possible? Do you know if your able to put the studs down the middle of the track, a friend of mine said that on his last years apex model that he was not to put the studs directly in the middle of the track because it would hit the exhaust. Is this the same truth as in the fx nytro rtx? Thanks for any help

Right down the middle use double backers and go with 144

The problem with the Apex wasn't the exhaust, unless it had Hauck pipes. The issue was that the head of the shock on the electronic shock is very close to the track, and studding within the center 1" of the track could lead to wear of the shock head.
I have 144 singles and doubles on both my Nytro and my Apex, and in most conditions, it helps a ton. I still notice some slipping on icy trails, and I have the 1.325 Woody's Signature studs.

Same as lucky_7. Took it out last night and it ran great, can't wait for the temps to settle down so we have ice and trails instead of constant water bars.
