What you described is exactly what I have with my Apex. M-20 air and a few other add-ons have made for the most comfortable fun on snow I have ever had! It did, however, require a few dollars to get there...
That sounds like the setup!
Let me know when you have it up for sale, I'm nearby

Hi Ray, what length is it ?
How old is it, and what kind of shape is it in ?
How many miles have you put on it ?
Are you the original owner of the M-20 ?
And sorry for all the questions, but can it be set up to ride real soft, like a couch soft ? LOL

For those of you who still have a shitty riding rtx, last winter I found mine had a broken rear cross tube on the pivot arm. It was hidden by the plastic cover the rear springs ride on. Pretty sure it was that way when I bought it and had it revalved for my weight and riding style and did not help much. I added custom oil lite front pivot arm bushings and used thin plastic shims to tighten up the rest of the plastic bushings in the rest of the skid. I was shocked and amazed at how much softer it rode. The suspension geometry was screwed once the rear tube broke and it was binding up the whole geometry of it. Same thing happens when all the plastic bushings are shot...

I put a 2003 sc10 in my apex rtx 2 yrs ago its a huge difference i love it i can hold the skis up till 60 if i want was easy to do tooI,m getting old, LOL, and lately I,ve been considering putting a complete R-Motion skid in my sled.
I would like to make the sled ride as soft and plush as possible.
I only ride groomed trails. Love the Apex motor, and would love to be able to ride 200 miles a day, 2-3 days in a row. With the stiff Pro-action CK suspension that is in the sled now, it just isn,t possible.
Has anyone already done this ? And if so, any tips on making the instal as easy as possible ?

Just an update.
I fixed my RTX suspension, by buying a Turbo Cat. LOL
I,ll probably be keeping the Apex as well for this season, just in case the Cat isn,t as reliable as the Apex has been.
Thanks to everyone for all their help.
Happy sledding.

Thanks for the offer.
I replaced my Apex with a Turbo Cat. Had it out to-day. What an awesome ride and powerplant.
Happy New Year.

In case anyone is still interested, I just put an R-Motion suspension in my 2007 RTX (taken from a MXZ XRS 2012, revalved shocks) and the results are impressive. I never had that much fun with my RTX before!
You can use the front holes but you'll need to modify the original rear brackets.
I hope it will prove to be reliable enough in the long term. Here are some pics.

l put a cat Z1 Turbo rear skid in my 2005 RX1.and GYTR front shocks on it. My sled has never road better. Corners flat and hooks awesome. I just bought an 2006 Apex RTX that the owner said nothing rides as good as this RTX. He claims it rides better than any of the sleds out there. I am egar to try it out but it won't be until the end of the month. Even if it does ride good, I am sure it will not hook on a icy surface like my RX1 does now.
