Just did 900 miles in Quebec and here is some feedback:

My friend John had his new Rage and I have to tell you all that I was impressed after riding it! It's more nimble than the Warrior and easier to ride on trails, and it only gives up a little in the power department! Yes the Warrior is a little bit faster but not by much! Mostly top end! Which is hardly ever used, except on lakes!
But what the RX-1 and Warrior do to the two strokes in gas mileage, The Rage does the same to the Warrior :o|
At one stop our 2 smoke, stinky buddies who where driving an 04 Rev 800 took 29.5 litres, 2- MXZ 700's 31 litres, my 04 Warrior took 28 litres, his 05 Rage took 24 litres :tg:

At another place the MXZ 700 took 31 litres, and the Rage took 21 litres and the rest of us got nothing because they ran out of gas We rode in to the closest town and filled the rest of the sleds. :?

You are absolutely right on all your statements. I have ridden a lot this season with a buddy with an RSRage. All in all I have to say I like his sled better than my Warrior. I do, however, enjoy smoking him on the lake. We also found the gas mileage issue to be consistent with your findings. Not that I'm complaining about my Warrior's mpg, but, my buddy's Rage is consistently 10% less on fuel consumption.

Hey Rock,

I wouldn't say you smoked me! You might have some top end advantage, but from 0 to 70 I'm all over you! And on the lake, if I had picks, all you would see is tail light, pal! Oh, by the way, Yankees SUCK!

Bob Miller,

I agree with all your statments! The Rage is by far, a better all around sled! Add some Simmons flex skis and the rage would be top knotch!

I found the same thing my buddy has an 05 warrior and we traded and even he noticed how much better mine handles and I smoke the hell outa him in the trails! and in a drag race I get him alittle off the line and about neck and neck till 70 mph. And at every gas station he is out of gas and I have about a quarter tank...

Now as far as the Rage smoking me on the trails on my Warrior! NOT!!!!!!
Depends on the rider 8)
I'm not bragging here, but I can give many a run for there money. And with the power advantage that the Warrior has over the Rage, although my buddy is an excellent rider, I can create a distance between us 8)

After he rode my rage he kinda wished he had boutght one because its lowwer center of gravity and lighter feel makes a noticable difference much easier to throw around and very nimble...>>>his words. just a better trail sled. ;)! :yam:

I would have to agree after riding the Rage that it is a better trail sled and better on gas ;)! If I was to by a new sled, I would seriously consider one!

it is not that the Rage is that much lighter. It does have shorter spindles and different a arm geometry. That is what makes it feel so much lighter. Power should be very close until about 60.
The factory guys last march at the 05 showing said RX1 mileage is 20% better than a viper and the RS sleds are 20% better than an RX. This looks to be true.

I heard that the RX will get the RS front geometry for 06. We will soon know for sure.[/i]

Aso the Rage engine is tipped back at a 37 degree angle giving it a much lower center of gravity compared to the Warriors 30 degree.
