Ram Mount Question for Garmin

Is everyone using the composit arm or the aluminum arm for the ram ball mounts? There only like a dollar difference. Thanks for the help.

First I've heard of composite mounts for RAM...they must be new to the market. What is RAM claiming regarding benefits?

Did see any claims. Just notices there was a dollar or so difference on what looked like the same arm. When I read them I noticed one was aircraft aluminum and the other plastic. I did however find some at gander mountain for fish finders and those were Plastic. I was a bit concerned about the plastic in the cold. Should I go with aluminum the ?

Aluminum is all I've used for nearly 15 years. Still have my original arm with lots of miles on it. A couple of years ago, however, I did break a ram ball mount on a particularly rough section of trail.
